1) Possible or not?

Dernière mise à jour : 25 mars 2020

This space is addressing the question:

Is a Theory Of Everything possible to exist?

*****************************************

A majority of us have been confronted to the “Theory Of Everything” problem.

The question is:

Can such a theory eventually exist?

A lot of people are convinced that such a “Theory” isn’t possible; but, my opinion is that adopting such a position means that they forget what exactly is a “theory”.

A “Theory” is simply a “model” used to explain something. So a “Theory Of Everything” would be a simple “Tool” to explain the evolution of the Universe from its “starting point” to “today’s state”.

Note: It’s evident that if we have a “static universe”, there cannot be a “Theory Of Everything”; because in this case, what is, ever was; and all we need is a list of what exists.

So, the “fact” is that all existing theories are simply “tools” used to understand a subject.

For example, in science, we have Newton’s theory of gravity which stands beside Einstein’s RG and both stands in front of Quantum dynamics.

All three are only “models” used to explain gravitation. None of them can be considered as the ONLY reality existing. Which doesn’t mean that they could not be so, but we cannot consider them as THE reality, for the simple reason that they do not explain the universe in its “TOTALITY”. They all have “portions” that aren’t clearly and objectively explained. Furthermore, they do not agree with each other.

This means that parts of each of those “theories” are exact but the whole of each theory is inadequate to explain everything.

The actual position, in front of those inadequacies, is that someday, when our technology improves more, all those discrepancies between them will be erased.

To my opinion, this is “wishful” thinking. Our actual technology already contradicts the basic notions of all three theories.

For example:

Newton’s notion of “attracting masses” is considered not precise enough to be exact.

Einstein’s “deformation of space geometry” is contradicted by the “fact” that space is proven “flat”, because our technology, even with its enormous precision, cannot find any measure of any “space curvature”.

As for Quantum mechanics, it shows a lack of precision even if they reach the total limit, which becomes a mathematical number called “infinite”; which cannot and do not represent a “quantity”. In other words, “infinity” isn’t a quantize number.

So to find a “TEO” (theory of everything) we have to use whatever is acceptable as “reality” supplied by those three main theories, and try to create a “Model” that will explain everything.

Furthermore, it is evident that the latest information released by the current experiments will be prioritized over results from 300 years ago unprecise enough experiments.

I’ve already worked on such a “Model” which I called:

My T-Model for Astrophysics.

The Ford "T-Model" was a car easily affordable by everyone; my "T-Model" for Astrophysics wants to be easily understandable by everyone.
